A professor of marketing at Johnson & Wales University, Kris Hefley assists clients with marketing and market research at the university’s Denver SBDC satellite office. Prior to joining the faculty at Johnson & Wales, Hefley founded the PresentFutures Group, a marketing research and marketing firm that specializes in research-based strategic planning and marketing communications programs for organizations in various industries, including advertising, manufacturing and with national associations. Hefley has worked with clients that include BMW Motorcycles, the State of Alaska, Fannie Mae, Pepsi, Vail/Keystone/Breckenridge Resorts, HP, the American Bankers Association, and the Olympic Torch Relay. As board of director of the Business Marketing Association’s Colorado chapter, Hefley received the National Award of Excellence in the National Chapter Competition for Student Assistance from the Business Marketing Association International. Hefley received his master’s degree in education from the University of Colorado-Denver and his bachelor of arts degree in sociology from Colorado State University.
