Connect2DOT is a statewide program designed to help small businesses in the transportation industry become more competitive and successful in bidding and contracting with the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT).
The Denver Metro Small Business Development Center (SBDC) offers free consulting, training, events and technical support services tailored to contractors and professional design, architecture and engineering firms. If you are just starting your business and are interested in exploring opportunities with CDOT or if you're an experienced subcontractor looking to grow and expand your business, we have the expertise and resources to help.

Apply for a Free Bid Express Account

CDOT is sponsoring a limited number of free online accounts for DBE and/or ESB certified firms that are actively pursuing and bidding on CDOT projects. Bid Express is the online bidding system used by CDOT to simplify bidding and facilitate interaction between primes and subcontractors. A free account gives you unlimited access to project plan sheets and bid documents at a savings of nearly $2,000 per year!

Apply today by following these 3 easy steps:

  1. Small Business Network Prepaid Account Request Sign Up
    Click this link to register on the BidX system. Complete the form and select "Colorado Department of Transportation" from the drop down box that says "Select an Agency". Click "Request an Account" to return here and complete the last two steps.
  2. CDOT Sponsored Account Application
    Click the link and download the application. Fill it out completely. Make sure to sign it and attach a copy of your DBE certification work codes.
  3. Usage Agreement
    Click this link and download the agreement. Fully read it, sign and date it. Mail this with the application (step 2) and DBE certification work codes to the address listed at the bottom of page one of the application.

The Connect2DOT Program is a partnership between the Colorado SBDC Network and CDOT designed to help small businesses in the transportation industry become more competitive and successful in bidding and contracting. We offer business and technical support tailored to contractors and engineers, online access to bid plans, and various networking events to connect prime contractors and subcontractors. These resources are currently available through the Denver SBDC and will roll out statewide in 2013.
