A consultant at Johnson & Wales University satellite office, Tim Stein is also a professor at the Hospitality College. Tim works with businesses to identify and leverage their competitive advantages for improved business performance. As a former executive with leading hotel and restaurant companies, Tim brings a practical, real-world perspective to his work. He has also been an industry consultant for many years with two leading hospitality organizations working with well-recognized clients such as the American Club, Callaway Gardens, Caesar's Palace, Stanford University, Universal Studios, UC Berkeley, Grand Canyon National Park Lodges, Sandestin Resort, Isle of Capri Casinos, and the US Military. With a passion for “green” business, Tim owns and operates his own consulting company helping hospitality businesses improve their environmental performance through reduced resource consumption and third-party certification. He holds a master of professional studies degree from the Hotel School at Cornell University and a bachelor of science degree from the College of Human Ecology at Cornell University. Tim is also a ServSafe certified food safety instructor and a Registered Dietitian.
